We are in business to re-shape the co-existence between nature and human.

Revolwe® EVO Series is a result of our rigid R&D,
This high performance leash is made from both recycled post-consumer materials and plant based materials.

Even though we select materials with the high sustainability standards...

Everything has an impact, everything!

From R&D to finished product in your hand.

Cord

Revolwe® Recycled High strength cord is made of up to 30% recycled TPU without compromising performance.

Compared to 100% virgin TPU, we are reducing ≈170 gram of CO2e per leash.

Railsaver, Leash string and outside cuff

This material is made of 100% recycled post-consumer PET-bottles.

With this method we are able to lower the carbon footprint compared to virgin material, with 75% lower emission.

The fabric is colored by an dope dye process, that means that we adding colour pigment “upstream”, directly to the PET-bottle granulate before the fibre is made.

This saves the usage of water of ≈0.58 Liter per leash (≈ 19.6 oz).

It also reduces the discharge of the same amount of dyed wastewater.

Cuff

It is made of plant based Yulex® rubber.

With this plant material we are able to reduce the CO2 emission by ≈80% compared to conventional leash cuff.

This rubber comes from FSC® Certified plantations which ensure that the product come fro responsibly managed forests.

We want to support farmers and producer to only operate under legal and responsible management practices.

Though only 4% of global rubber plantation area is currently FSC® certified,

Well-managed FSC® certified forest management have the potential to affect  positive environmental and social transformation of the natural rubber sector.

Packaging

Product packaging is made from recycled cardboard and it is printed with ink that is made from Algae-based ink.

This ink is a safe, renewable, carbon negative (-200%), black pigment derived from waste algae supply. Algae by-product material is transformed into small, black pigments.

The ink is a by-product algae material grown at Earthrise Nutritionals, located in Imperial County, California. Algae is grown using sunlight, water, carbon dioxide and nutrients. Algae, such as spirulina, are grown for a blue colorant called phycocyanin, which is extracted and used as a natural food colorant. The remaining material is considered algae by-product. This left-over material is used to make a bio-based black pigment.

The environmental impact of this ink is
98% Water reduction, 200% CO2 eq reduction, 100% petroleum feedstock reduction.

* Total Carbon Footprint Calculations made by using The 2030 carbon footprint for products (CFP) calculator are calculated on average emissions factors for materials, energy consumption and transportation based on product category, total weight of product, the weight of unique materials used in each product (or packaging) part, location and distances between supplier, manufacturing facility and distribution center and modes of transport between each as well as the source of energy used in production. Carbon Footprint calculations made by The 2030 Calculator cover the cradle-to-gate phases of a typical product life-cycle assessment which are under the operational control of the product manufacturer. These calculations are not intended to provide an exhaustive assessment of a product’s GHG footprint as would be the purpose of a full product life-cycle assessment. Please find a local LCA certified consultant here. The emissions factors used in the calculations have been sourced from a variety of validated, third-party open data sources (see methodology ) and include a blend of CO2 and (GWP normalized) CO2e values, with final carbon footprint calculated in kg CO2e. The purpose of the calculations generated by The 2030 calculator tool is to give an acceptably accurate indication of the cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of a product, suitable for self-declaration by a product manufacturer or product brand. They are not intended to be used for any other purpose. Although we have made every effort to validate all data used in our calculations to the extent possible, Doconomy and our listed partners do not make any representations about the accuracy of the data obtained from third party sources.
